One-day excursion and gala dinner

Excursion plan

During the last day of the conference, a bus will take the participants from the Petnica SC to the:

               Sirmium Imperial palace – III/IV century Roman Imperial palace in Sremska Mitrovica (Sirmium), former capital of the Roman Empire

               National Museum in Belgrade – One of the main archaeological institutions in Serbia, where the conference participants will be able to                   get acquainted with millenia-spanning history of this region

               Kalemegdan fortress in Belgrade – The symbol of Serbia’s capital, first built by the Romans almost 2.000 years ago at the confluence                     of two rivers, still stands today after numerous demolitions and rebuilds

Gala dinner

The end of the day will be spent in a typical Serbian “kafana” in the center of Belgrade, where everyone will be able to enjoy the delicious dishes of traditional Serbian cousine.
