Excursion plan
During the last day of the conference, a bus will take the participants from the Petnica SC to the:
Sirmium Imperial palace – III/IV century Roman Imperial palace in Sremska Mitrovica (Sirmium), former capital of the Roman Empire
National Museum in Belgrade – One of the main archaeological institutions in Serbia, where the conference participants will be able to get acquainted with millenia-spanning history of this region
Kalemegdan fortress in Belgrade – The symbol of Serbia’s capital, first built by the Romans almost 2.000 years ago at the confluence of two rivers, still stands today after numerous demolitions and rebuilds
